DMITRY
OSKIN
Dmitry Oskin is a London-based photographer and artist known for his captivating macro photography that merges nature and fashion. With a background in fashion styling and a degree from the London College of Fashion, his artistic journey began with early successes in national drawing competitions and later flourished through his work on film and photo shoots. This foundation deeply influences his art, where themes of elegance, beauty, and intricate detail are ever-present.
Oskin’s work often transforms natural subjects into striking artistic statements. His renowned series, “Butterflies” and “Illusions”, magnify the delicate beauty of butterflies and beetles, presenting them on a grand scale that reveals mesmerizing details often invisible to the naked eye. His butterflies, with their soft, textured wings, echo flowing couture gowns, while his beetles are meticulously composed to resemble high-end brooches or pieces of jewelry. This fusion of natural wonder and fashion sensibility transforms these creatures into icons of beauty and craftsmanship.
Recently, Oskin has expanded his focus to floral compositions, capturing the fleeting grace of blooms in vibrant hues and expressive arrangements. His flowers, gathered in lush bouquets, evoke a wide range of emotions, from quiet serenity to dramatic intensity, further emphasizing his ability to find poetry and
elegance in the natural world. Oskin's works were thoughtfully selected to enhance the ambiance of the newly designed (2025) Delta Sky Club in Atlanta.
Inspired by his travels across South America, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean, Oskin’s work reflects a global artistic sensibility. He has exhibited internationally, including multiple sold-out shows and prestigious private showings at Photo London in Somerset House (2021, 2022). He continues to create from his West London studio, producing fine art photographic pieces while taking on private and commercial
commissions.
